CHÂTEAU LA MOTTE BORDEAUX, FRANCE

Château La Motte is an old fortress dating back to the Middle Ages. Château La Motte joined the Valet family with Michel Valet, who then sold it to his two sons in 2016. Today, the property is owned by Xavier Valet, supported by oenologist Mathieu Huguet. In the vineyards, Xavier Valet opts for a culture respectful of the environment, in accordance with his convictions. They no longer use weed killers and promote green manure and the planting of cereals between the vines (cross between wheat and barley). At Château La Motte, the fauna had gradually disappeared, but thanks to Xavier Valet and his commitment to a vineyard more respectful of the natural world, there are again small animals, such as rabbits, frolicking through the vines.
