AB Valley is the new micro-negociant project of longtime friends Antonio Sousa, wine-maker extraordinaire, and Bernardo Lencastre, a passionate wine-grower with business acumen. Antonio’s talents are in such demand, he has had a hand in 10% of Vinho Verde production. While used to producing high quality in volume, here he gets to focus on his own wine on a smaller scale. If on the one hand, Antonio lends the know-how to the project, Bernardo lends the irreverence, the constant challenge of the defined horizons and the experience in the diffusion and marketing of the brand. It is a project that translates the irreverence towards a paradigm and the need to transpose the boundaries of experience, by exponentially acquired knowledge, in the production and in the vineyard. The results have been scored over 90 points in Decanter and elsewhere.
