In 1988, in the northernmost point of Portugal, in the heart of Monção and Melgaço, the excellent territory of the Vinhos Verdes, the history of Quinta do Regueiro began. Located in Côto, Alvaredo, Melgaço, this family company took its first steps with the plantation of the first 7.5 acres of 100% Alvarinho vines. The years that followed were times of learning, growth, and a lot of dedication. The harvests and production of wine for their consumption soon began to surprise and show its unique character. Ten years later the company Quinta do Regueiro, Produtor de Alvarinho Lda was created, a family society with two brothers, Paulo Cerdeira Rodrigues and Anabela Cerdeira Rodrigues. Today, recognized as one the foremost producers of boutique vinho verde in Portugal, Quinta do Regueiro is fast becoming synonymous with top shelf avant garde white wines. The company gathers a set of small terraced plots, occupying an area of 30 acres of vineyard, of which, 15 acres are their own vineyards and 15 acres are rented.
