LES HAUTS PLATEAUX PROVENCE, FRANCE
Les Hauts Plateaux is a wine label produced by Vins Bréban, which was originally founded in 1952 by family patriarch Raymond Bréban, who began crafting artisanal wines out of his private garage during World War II. Management shifted to his son, Jean-Jacques Bréban, in 1968, and the house has since transitioned to its third generation of family leadership under Laurent and Julie Bréban. Operating primarily as a prominent négociant house that blends long-term grower partnerships with their own vineyard acreage—including the 2019 acquisition of Château de l’Arnaude—the family balances traditional roots with a modernized, sustainable winemaking approach. Today, the brand utilizes high-altitude plots in the IGP Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to deliver a fresh, alpine-influenced style for the global market while maintaining its historical, family-owned legacy.
