MASIERO VENETO, ITALY

Founded in 2000 by Gianfranco “Franco” Masiero and his wife Francesca as a small family hobby in the volcanic countryside of Trissino, Italy, Azienda Agricola Masiero has evolved into a premier biodynamic estate driven by the philosophy that “agriculture can save the earth”. Today, the family-owned, 25-acre estate is under the primary leadership of Franco’s daughter, Giulia Masiero, who serves as Director and Winemaker. Guided by a strict rejection of synthetic intervention, Giulia and Franco manage the vineyard under certified CO.VI.BIO biodynamic practices—cultivating over 68 native vegetative species to enhance soil life—while practicing minimalist, non-interventionist winemaking in the cellar via spontaneous wild fermentation, zero chemical additives, minimal sulfites, and unique aging vessels like custom Carrara marble barrels.
